COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — The Master Gardeners of Montgomery County are offering tours of their Demonstration & Learning Gardens on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. The Gardens are located at 1015 Bridge Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.
This year’s tour will highlight several sections of the gardens, namely, the Butterfly Garden, the Herb Garden, the Foodscaping Garden, and the Universal Garden. Visitors will learn about pollinators, dividing perennials, growing vegetables within an existing flower garden, saving seeds, native plants and more
Tours will be led by Master Gardeners of Montgomery County, volunteers who have been specially trained and certified by Penn State Extension to provide education on a broad range of horticultural topics and can advise community residents on best practices based on university research and recommendations. These Master Gardeners are also responsible for the design, plant selection, planting, and maintenance of all the gardens.
There is no charge for the tours and children are welcome. Registration is requested, but not required. To register, please emailmontgomerymg@psu.edu or call 610-489-4315. In the event of rain, tours will be given on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The group will meet at the main building entrance.
