ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — The Pasquotank County Center will be conducting a pesticide applicator class that will provide continuing education credits for commercial pesticide and private pesticide applicators on Wednesday, November 7, 2017 from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon at 1209 McPherson Street, Elizabeth City, NC. The class, Tools for the Pesticide Applicator, will provide 3.5 hours of credits for most all categories of commercial ground pesticide applicators and X credits for private (farmer) pesticide applicators with a NC pesticide license. The training will share with participants various websites on the internet such as the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Pesticide Section that provide information on how to keep up with various aspects of your pesticide licenses like credits needed, credits obtained by attending trainings, continuing education classes provided, etc. Websites from NC State University such as the NC Pesticide Safety Education Program and Turffiles as well as websites that provide information on pests, pesticides and pesticide labels will be shared.
