FARGO, N.D. — Jingle bells. Deck the halls. Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer. It’s the season. The Christmas season. It’s the season where we celebrate by giving gifts, by gathering together. And as Christians, by professing our beliefs as Christmas is a Christian holiday.
And how does that tie to NDFB? Well, it’s that opportunity, it’s that freedom that we have that we so enjoy in this country to be able to gather together at our family’s house, or at church or at a neighbor’s or friend’s, however you celebrate the season, remember, we can do that in the United States of America because we have freedom and opportunity.
And those are two very important things to our members at NDFB. We don’t take our freedom for granted. And we must, every day, live and act upon things to ensure that, that freedom is maintained for future generations.
Because at NDFB, freedom, opportunity and self-reliance are the foundation for just about everything we enjoy and we do. And engaging in farming and ranching, which is a passion for almost everyone that is involved in it, is only because we have that freedom to do so.
We have the opportunity to fulfill our passion, to fulfill our dreams, and we must preserve that through self-reliance and self-responsibility.
And this is the season where we must be thankful for that. Everyone thinks that Thanksgiving is the season to be thankful, but in our Constitution of the United States of America, those rights that were given, were initially given by God. And just insured for us to enjoy in our great country – yes, our great country, the greatest country on earth – the United States of America.
So, from all of us at NDFB, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
