SEATTLE, Wash. — We can’t wait to see you at our Edible Plant Sale! The sale is in-person this weekend, May 7-8; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Meridian Park in Wallingford (4800 Meridian Ave N, Seattle 98103). Get directions.

When You Arrive:

  • Find the Welcome Tent by the basketball court in Meridian Park (look for a white pop-up tent with Welcome banners). A map of the event layout can be found in our What to Expect Guide.
  • Get a wristband. A staggered entry system allows the maximum number of people to enter the sale and keeps the entrance flowing smoothly. Get an appointed time of entry when you pick up a color-coded wristband at the Welcome Tent.
  • Visit the Vendor Marketplace. There’s no need to wait in line once you have a wristband โ€” you’ll enter at your designated time. Explore the Vendor Marketplace and visit our community partners instead!
  • Enter the sale. When it’s time for your wristband color to enter the sale, you’re welcome to start shopping for plants!

Remember:

  • Face masks are encouraged to be worn while at this event.
  • Accepted payment methods: debit, credit, Fresh Bucks and EBT. Cash will not be accepted.
  • Dress for the weather! Sometimes we get rain, sun, heat or cold at the sale โ€” usually all of them at some point!
  • The event is outdoors and uncovered.

Tips for Happy Shopping

  • Plan your shopping list in advance. Volunteers will be available to help you find the plants you need.
The sale is in a park on grass, which could be challenging for shoppers in wheelchairs, scooters or crutches, especially when wet.
  • Bring your wagons, carts, boxes and flats. These items will help you safely transport your plants around the sale. We will have a limited number of plant flats available near the entrance to purchase for $1.
  • Bathrooms and portable restrooms are located at the center of Meridian Park. Please do not use bathrooms in the Good Shepherd Center. Thank you!
  • Prices range from $5-15 depending on variety. Most plants are $5-8. The $15 plants are hops and other specialty varieties!

Parking Tips

  • The easiest parking is no parking! Carpool, take a bus (#44 or #62), or use other alternative transportation. You can also take Link Light Rail to the U-District station and then walk or take bus #44 to Sunnyside Ave.
  • Street parking will be available near Meridian Playground (4800 Meridian Ave N). Parking will be limited. If you are driving to the sale, plan to spend time looking for parking.
  • There are a few accessible parking spots in the Good Shepherd Center parking lot. There is a paved sidewalk part of the way to the sale.
