“It is essential to properly design a tile system,” says Tom Scherer, NDSU Extension Service agricultural engineer, and one of the organizers of the event. “Water management includes managing the amount of water that is leaving the field. Pumps and control structures can be utilized to manage the out-flow of water from the tile line.”
The workshop is a collaborative effort of the University of Minnesota and North Dakota State University Extension Services.
The early registration fee is $250. The workshop is limited to 55 participants. Due to seating limitations, on-site registration will not be available on the day of the event. To register for the workshop, go to https://www.regonline.com/2017DrainDesign.
