CONWAY, S.C. – South Carolina Chef Ambassador Jamie Daskalis, executive chef of Johnny D’s Waffles and Bakery, will showcase her culinary talents at a dinner highlighting South Carolina farmers and foods at a historic venue in Conway.
“Dinner in the Warehouse” will be held Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. at the Historic Peanut Warehouse in Conway, South Carolina, the Instagram-ready, barn-like loft that since 1900 has served Horry County’s agricultural industry. Drawing from her family’s own recipe box to deliver a Greek feast featuring the state’s best produce and proteins, Chef Jamie will prepare a Mediterranean feast.
Tickets are $90 each and can be purchased online at dinnerinthewarehouse.eventbrite.com. Email events@scda.sc.gov with questions.
Hosted by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Certified South Carolina program, the dinner is a celebration of fresh local flavors. As a 2020-21 Chef Ambassador, Chef Jamie values local farmers and the delicious, high-quality produce, meat and seafood they provide. For this dinner, she’ll be using Certified SC Grown ingredients from farmers around the state.
The South Carolina Chef Ambassador program was established in 2014 to promote South Carolina as a top culinary destination, highlighting the state’s talented chefs, creative recipes, authentic cuisines, locally grown produce and unique products.
