LOUISBURG, N.C. — Crisp Fall feeling mornings and the hot Summer afternoons have us all wondering what’s available at the Franklin County Farmers Market this Friday. We are thankful for the vine ripe tomatoes that are still in good supply. Peas and butter beans are showing up in the hull and shelled. These veggies are a sure foundation to preparing this week’s recipe. Autumn gives us a taste of Summer and Fall veggies. Eggplant and squash are still filling the farmer’s tables.
Watermelons were showing up last Friday by the trailer load and hopefully again this week as well. It’s always amazing at the variety of the bounty our farmers bring. Fresh local farm eggs for the egg lovers. Fall crafts from home decorating to household use made by our talented craft vendors are awesome. Goat’s milk soaps made by the farmers really give the perfect touch around your sink areas.
Stop by and put a smile on a farmers face. Look forward to seeing you all. Thanks for supporting your local farmers market.
