DES MOINES, Iowa — Paul and MeganJoy (pictured with 2-year-old Codan) have been growing food for 3 years. They’re looking for affordable land near a major Iowa city where they can grow food and raise their children. They contacted SILT hoping to find a farm that was permanently protected and required sustainable growing practices. That way they can afford it and put the hard work into building the soils, knowing their efforts will pay off for them and for all the farmers who come after them.
Your support today will help permanently protect more land to grow healthy food in 2017 and help young farmers like Paul and MeganJoy find a farm they can afford. We hope you’ll consider SILT in your end-of-year donation decisions so we can report to you our success finding them a farm.
