JEFFERSON CITY — Rhizza Adams, laboratory manager for the Springfield Animal Health Diagnostic Lab, is featured in the latest video in our The MORE You Know series promoting the wide variety of careers in agriculture across the state.
Our Animal Health division is home to diagnostic laboratories in Springfield and Jefferson City that serve farmers, ranchers and veterinarians across the state. The labs were established to help the division identify, control and eradicate those livestock diseases that threaten the profitability and marketability of Missouri’s livestock and livestock producers.
The diagnostic labs are on the forefront of animal disease detection and identification. Both labs do a variety of scientific testing, including bacteriology, clinical pathology, molecular diagnostics, pathology, serology and testing avian samples.
