JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — With your support the 2022 Drive to Feed Kids was a success! The partnership wrapped up this year’s Drive on Aug. 20 at the Missouri State Fair with a big announcement – over 2.4 million meals donated this year!
The impact of the Drive to Feed Kids has been demonstrated in lives changed and acts of service taking place across to state to address food insecurity. From 4-H Feeding Misouri, Missouri Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers meal packing, Hogs for Hunger, Missouri FFA Day of Service, MFC $2 Tuesday donations at the Missouri State Fair, elected officials packing meals, to 4-H and FFA mini-grant activities statwide, events throughout the year have brought people and resources together around a common mission. The tangible impact of our efforts can be felt making a difference in lives across Missouri.
This year’s effort would not be possible without the support of each of our partners: ADM, Brownfield Ag News, American Family Insurance, Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, MFA Incorporated, Missouri Corn Merchandising Council, NutraBlend, FCS Financial, Missouri FFA Foundation, Missouri Farm Bureau, Allen P. & Josephine B. Green Foundation, Jerry Litton Family Memorial Foundation, American Family Dreams Foundation, Forrest and Charlotte Lucas – Founders of Protect the Harvest, Missouri Pork Association, Missouri State Fair Foundation, Midwest Dairy, Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners John Deere, Poet Bioprocessing, Mighty Eagles 4-H Club, Henderson Implement Company, Professional Pet Association, Missouri FFA Association, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri State Fair, Missouri 4-H, University of Missouri Extension and the contributions of many Missouri farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses.
Since 2017, Missouri agriculture, working through the Missouri Farmers Care Drive to Feed Kids, has raised, packed and provided 11,123,306 meals for food-insecure Missouri neighbors!
