AUSTIN — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $44,985,000 for water and wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $1,985,000 was approved for rural projects.
- $1,985,000 to Borden County for water system improvements
- $42 million to the City of Cleburne (Johnson County) for wastewater system improvements
- $1 million to the City of Kerrville (Kerr County) for a disaster recovery project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
