COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The 2018 Texas Master Gardener Association Conference is right around the corner! Hosted by the Texas Master Gardener Association and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services, the conference will run from April 4-6, 2018 at the Texas A&M campus in College Station.
Speakers will include David Gibby, founder of the Master Gardeners Program; Piet Oudolf, internationally acclaimed designer; Doug Welsh, author and AgriLife Extension emeritus; Mark Hirsch, author and photojournalist; Jan Bills, author of “Late Bloomer”; Nan Sterman, host of the TV show ‘A Growing Passion’; and many other horticulturalists, experts, Extension agents and gardeners.
Planned tours will include the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Research Gardens, Royalty Pecan Farms, Chappell Hill Lavender Farm, Brazos County Demonstration Gardeners, among several other farms and gardens. Meanwhile, breakout sessions will cover a wide range of topics from strawberries and water conservation to organic gardening techniques and farmers markets.
