TOPEKA, Kan. — The Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA) elected Bob Tempel, Chief Operating Officer of WindRiver Grain LLC in Garden City, as its new second vice chairman on Tuesday, April 11, during the organization’s 121st annual meeting in Wichita. Tempel was elected by the 16-member board of directors to serve his two-year term as Board Second Vice Chairman through April 2019.
KGFA members also elected Glen Hofbauer, Vice President of Safety/Loss Control and Insurance Risk Management at The Scoular Company in Overland Park, as their new chairman. Jeremy Girard, President of Hannebaum Grain, Salina, was elected as the new vice chairman.
KGFA, established in 1896, consists of more than 900 member companies that include country elevators, subterminal and terminal elevators, feed manufacturers, flour mills, grain merchandisers and allied industries such as grain exchanges, equipment manufacturers, insurance firms and railroads. KGFA is proud to represent 97% of the federally or state licensed grain storage in the state of Kansas.
