LUBBOCK, Texas — This fall, TCP welcomed Austin DeBerry as its newest administrative intern. DeBerry graduated from Sealy High School in 2021 where he was an active member of the FFA chapter, served on its student council and played on the baseball team.

He now attends Texas Tech University where he is majoring in agricultural and applied economics.

DeBerry currently represents Texas Tech University’s Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources as a member of Agri-Techsans where he works to actively promote and recruit prospective students for the college.

After graduating, DeBerry plans to run his own agriculture-based lobbying firm to give back to the industry that has given him so much.

DeBerry believes his role at TCP is his first step to achieving his goals and making the difference he wants to make. He says the people and work environment inspires him to continue pursuing his passion of leaving his mark on the agricultural industry.

As the administrative intern, DeBerry will assist with research, membership, assessments and more.
