FORT DRUM, N.Y. — Fort Drum families, servicemen and retires are invited enjoy a taste of the North Country by joining us in a Fort Drum Commissary Taste-Testing Fair! This Fair will feature locally grown and produced foods.
As part of a Cornell Cooperative Extension Food Hub and local foods initiative farmers from across the North County are showcasing their value added products. Participants can be part of the judging process by indicating their preferred product. Many of the products will also be available for sale. To participate join us on November 17, 2017 from 11am to 3pm at the Fort Drum Commissary, 10730C Enduring Freedom Drive, Fort Drum NY 13602
Popular products will have a chance to become a permanent item stocked in the Deli. Meet our farmers and learn about their value added product. Come taste the many flavored goat cheeses, cheese curd, Chevre cheese, maple products including vinaigrettes, maple meat rubs, maple cookies, pickled cabbage sauce, beef jerky, meat sticks, sausages, honey, applesauce and so much more. This is a unique opportunity to support your local farmer.
