ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y. — The Taste NY Market in the North Country Welcome Center is hosting a festival full of food, fun, and fall themed activities! Come join us at 43350 Collins Landing Road, Alexandria Bay, NY on October 20th to enjoy fall festivities. Enjoy apples, hot cider and other local products while meeting local vendors and sampling delicious food. We will also be hosting a pumpkin carving contest! Enter your masterpiece for a chance to win a fall themed prize of local products from New York State. Drop your pumpkin off for judging before 3 PM. The event is taking place from 11AM – 4PM.

Entry Rules: 1. Complete an Entry Form and submit to Taste NY Staff before October 19th, 4 pm. 2. Deliver pumpkins to the North Country Welcome Center by 9am on the morning of the Thousand Islands Taste NY Fall Fest; October 20th, 2019. 3. Only one entry per contestant. 4. All carving of pumpkins must be completed prior to delivery. 5. Designs will be disqualified if they are offensive, discriminatory or inappropriate in anyway. 6. No candles will be allowed for the safety hazard they pose. Use of battery powered candles will be permitted. 7. All pumpkins must be picked up after event. Any pumpkins left by 5 pm will be discarded.
Contest Rules: 1. The entry can only be composed of parts from a single pumpkin. 2. Pumpkins must be real pumpkins (no plastic or fake pumpkins allowed). 3. No foreign objects may be used in the construction of the carved pumpkin, e.g. toothpicks, glue, yarn, paint, pins, leaves, flowers, etc. 4. All pumpkins will be displayed for public view throughout the Taste NY Fall Fest event. 5. Judging will conclude Sunday, October 20th @ 3 pm and winners will be announced! 6. There will be one prize in each of the 3 categories. 7. Winners must be present to claim their prize. 8. Photos of winning pumpkins will be posted on our Facebook page!
