CONWAY, S.C. — Experience life on the one-horse family farm from 1900-1955! See how the farm family would make cane syrup from sugar cane. Minnie the Mule will demonstrate traditional cane grinding along with traditional early farm living techniques will be demonstrated throughout the day. This includes Lye soap making, grinding corn, hand stitch sewing, log cutting, cooking on a wood stove, butter making, and more. The homemade syrup, stone ground grits and corn meal will be available for purchase in the Visitor’s Center snack shop area. The Farm is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public.
