MANCHESTER, Iowa — The Delaware County Swine Weigh-In was held on Saturday, March 16th at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. In total, 291 head of swine were tagged and identified for the Swine Show at the 2019 Delaware County Fair, by 73 4-H and FFA members. The total number of swine identified decreased slightly from 2018. Exhibitors now have just over 100 days until the fair, where they will showcase their finished swine projects.
The 2019 Delaware County Fair is set for July 8th through July 14th. The Swine Show will be on Friday, July 12th starting at 8:00 a.m. Exhibitors who identified swine will have the choice to exhibit their swine in either the Breeding Gilt, Derby, or Market classes at the Swine Show. Swine showmanship for junior, intermediate, and senior members will also be judged at the fair.
