BORDENTOWN, N.J. — The New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association will be holding their annual Summer Plant Symposium on Aug. 16 at Rutgers Cook Campus Student Center. Join them for a day of learning, great speakers, networking, good food, vendors and lots more.
There are two tracks of education provided — a recertification class that includes the following presenters:

- Mr. Brad Park, Rutgers University, Topic: Fertilizer Usage for Plant and Sod Nutrition
- Pat Hastings, Rutgers University, Topic: “Making the Grade for School IPM in N.J.”

- Dr. Joseph Heckman, Rutgers University, Topic: Soils 101

At 4 p.m., Keynote Speaker Jonathan Bardzik, storyteller, cook, author with more than 20 years’ experience in the nursery and landscape industry, will present “Incorporating Edibles into the Landscape: Food is hot and home-grown is even hotter. Edibles can add value to your landscape proposals whether you are installing complete garden spaces or adding food to foundation plantings.”
At 5 p.m., attendees will enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and networking. There is also an evening-only option, where registrants can attend the keynote speaker presentation and the networking social. Credits awarded for attending the evening-only event include:
