OREGON, Ill. — The Summer Ag Institute offers a hands-on learning experience for educators. During this six-day program, June 10-14 and 17, teachers will learn firsthand about agriculture and how to incorporate Ag lesson plans into their classroom curriculums.
Program participants will travel to area farms and agri-businesses and also enjoy classroom presentations from industry experts. Teachers will tour businesses in Stephenson, Ogle, Winnebago and Boone county areas. This opportunity is great for teachers in the classroom currently or for teachers looking to further their future opportunities.
Price to attend the six-day program is $125 per person. Price includes all transportation to the tours, lunch and snacks. Three graduate credits are available through St. Francis University for an additional $300. Graduate registration and credit is completed directly on-line with St. Francis.
