CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — The Division of Extension UW-Madison offices of Buffalo, Chippewa, and Trempealeau Counties are hosting Strategize Your Grain Marketing meetings on March 2, 9, and 16 from 9:30am to 11:30am. The March 2 program will be held at the Buffalo County Courthouse in Alma , March 9 at Riverland Energy Cooperative, Arcadia, and March 16 meeting at Security Financial Bank in Bloomer.
Topics covered at the meetings include comfort levels of risk, cash flow, forward and basis contracting, characteristics of marketing strategies, and fundamental indicators. A grain marketing simulation will also be part of the program.
Speakers include county extension agriculture agents Carl Duley, Buffalo County, Steve Okonek, Trempealeau County, and Jerry Clark, Chippewa County. There is no charge to attend the meetings and pre-registration is encouraged.
