CARLISLE, Pa. — Penn State Extension in Cumberland County will host a Stormwater Walk on June 9 at 4:30pm as part of their “Get Outside With Extension” educational series. The event will take place on the grounds outside the Extension Office located at 310 Allen Road in Carlisle. Participant will learn how to estimate the volume of stormwater produced by a rooftop, how soil type influences runoff, where stormwater goes after it leaves local properties, how vegetation can help reduce runoff, tips on selecting suitable plants and how to find a contractor to install these practices if you are not interested in doing the work yourself.
