CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council will begin accepting applications for the STEM Scale-Up Program on January 21. Ten STEM Scale-Up Programs were selected through a rigorous review process to be offered during the 2019-2020 academic year. Pre-K-12 schools, afterschool programs and other educational programs are encouraged to apply. The application period for the STEM Scale-Up Program closes on March 4, 2019.
The STEM Scale-Up Program equips thousands of Iowa educators with high-quality programs to engage students in STEM activities and units. Nearly 100,000 students engage in STEM Scale-Up Programs each year, with a proven success rate of performing better on the Iowa Assessments compared to all students statewide.
Award recipients for the 2019-2020 STEM Scale-Up Program will be announced mid-April 2019. Training for each respective program will begin this summer for implementation in the fall.
