CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Monday, the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council began accepting applications for the STEM Scale-Up Program. Ten STEM Scale-Up Programs were previously selected through a rigorous review process to be offered during the 2018-2019 academic year. Pre-K-12 schools, afterschool programs and other educational programs are encouraged to apply. The application period for the STEM Scale-Up Program closes on March 5, 2018.
The STEM Scale-Up Program provides STEM educational opportunities to nearly 100,000 students each year, with more than 500,000 students impacted to date. The STEM Scale-Up Program was designed to deliver high-quality programs to engage students in STEM activities and units through in-school, afterschool and other educational settings.
Award recipients for the 2018-2019 STEM Scale-Up Program will be announced April 10, 2018. Training for each respective program will begin this summer in order to be implemented this fall.
