CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council and Executive Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 16. The Executive Committee will meet from 9:00 to 10:00AM followed by the STEM Advisory Council meeting from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.
The STEM Advisory Council and Executive Committee meetings will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the Jacobson Exhibition Center, 3000 East Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa.
The Executive Committee of the STEM Advisory Council will be provided updates on the STEM Scale-Up, STEM BEST® and STEM Teacher Externships Programs, as well as on the corporate gifts during the 2018 fiscal year. The Executive Committee will also take action on the current financial summary, proposed FY2019 budget and a U.S. Department of Education SEED grant proposal.
The STEM Advisory Council meeting will cover items such as:
- Getting Iowa Future Ready
- Iowa’s Fast-Growing Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship
- Work-Based Learning: Spotlight on STEM BEST Programs in Iowa
- Iowa Clearinghouse for Work-Based Learning Update
