ALBANY — The Northeast Dairy Producers Association thanks Governor Hochul for recognizing the need to invest in the future of farming in New York State. By helping farms retain skilled farmworkers, investing in science-based research and best practices that protect our natural resources, and strengthening tax credits, Governor Hochul has shown a commitment to the next generation of farmers and maintaining a viable agriculture industry here in New York.
Additionally, the Governor’s ongoing support of the Nourish New York program will help farmers and farmworkers – who are essential to the state’s food supply chain – continue to play an important role in providing families access to nutritious milk and food. NEDPA looks forward to working with the Governor and state agencies, elected officials, and universities to provide supportive data to help make these proposals a reality.
Northeast Dairy Producers Association (NEDPA) is an organization of dairy producers and industry partners committed to an economically viable, consumer-conscious dairy industry dedicated to the care and well-being of our communities, environment, employees, and cows. Learn more at www.nedpa.org.Â
