PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources is currently accepting applications for placement on the State Water Facilities Plan. The application deadline is October 1, 2021.
Projects must be listed on the State Water Facilities Plan to be considered for state funding.
“The American Rescue Plan funding provided to the state can be used for investments in water and wastewater infrastructure, which DANR’s Environmental Funding Program already supports,” said DANR Secretary Hunter Roberts. “We encourage all eligible projects to apply for placement on the state water plan now so the Governor and legislature can see the full scope of water and wastewater infrastructure funding needs as they allocate available resources.”
The State Water Facilities Plan is a listing of potential projects, including water and wastewater infrastructure projects, eligible for funding from DANR’s Environmental Funding Program.
The State Water Plan application can be found online and must be submitted to DANR by October 1, 2021.
