CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Spring is just around the corner and starting your own seeds is a cost effective way to grow a greater variety of plants for your garden.
Home gardeners often get too impatient and start their seeds to early or have trouble getting their seeds to germinate and grow. Join Master Gardener, Stacey VanDenburgh as she guides you through the process of successfully starting both vegetables and flowers. She will cover techniques for starting seeds of annuals and perennials, discuss proper soil preparation, lighting, watering, and fertilization. She will also show you how to create a budget friendly plant nursery at home.
