NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Stark Soil and Water Conservation District will present a Rain Barrel Workshop on May 10 at Dogwood Shelter, 241 7th St. NE, North Canton, OH 44720. The workshop will run from 6 to 8 p.m., and the cost for the 55-gallon rain barrel and diverter kit is $65.
The workshop will consist of a brief presentation on rain barrels and overall water conservation, followed by construction instructions and individual rain barrel assembly. The rain barrels are relatively simple to put together, and will be assembled and ready for use upon the conclusion of the workshop.
Individuals that are not interested in purchasing a rain barrel are welcome to attend the informational portion of the workshop. There is no cost to attend the workshop.
Workshop registration is required by Stark Soil and Water by May 4 at 4:30 p.m. Those unable to attend the workshop will be able to pick up rain barrels at Stark Soil and Water between the business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting May 11.
