FORT PIERCE, Fla. — UF/IFAS and St. Lucie County Extension are working to provide the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program in four nearby counties with volunteers to provide free income tax preparation services to low-income residents.
The Extension Office is looking for volunteers who are interested in helping low-income residents prepare their income tax during the upcoming tax season. No experience or knowledge of income tax preparation is required, but you must be comfortable using a computer and talking with others via videoconferencing. All work will be done from the St. Lucie County Extension office and volunteer hours are flexible.
For more information or to volunteer, call UF/IFAS Extension Agent Carol Roberts at 772-462-1895.
