BANGOR, Maine – University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a five-session gardening short course beginning March 21, from 9:30–11:30 a.m. at the Penobscot County UMaine Extension office, 307 Maine Avenue, Bangor.
UMaine Extension horticulturist Kate Garland will lead each hands-on workshop in the series:
- March 21– Starting seeds indoors
- April 4– Botany for gardeners
- April 11– Succession planting
- April 18– Pest management in the home garden
- April 25– Building better soils
Each class is $10; registration is required. Register online by noon Monday before each session or register for all five (extension.umaine.edu/register/product/2018-gardening-short-course-penobsot).
