Topsoil moisture supplies rated 7% very short, 26% short, 61% adequate, and 6% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 10% very short, 35% short, 52% adequate, and 3% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Corn harvested was 81%, behind 91% last year, but ahead of 68% for the five-year average.
Winter wheat condition rated 11% very poor, 25% poor, 30% fair, 32% good, and 2% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 95%, ahead of 90% last year, and near 92% average.
Sorghum harvested was 92%, near 94% last year, but ahead of 78% average.
Sunflowers harvested was 72%, near 71% last year, and ahead of 64% average.
