SONOMA CO., Calif. — The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is excited to announce the newest addition to Love of the Land’s award program, The Century Farm & Ranch Award. The Century Farm & Ranch Award honors farm and ranch families with century-long connections to the land that exemplify Sonoma County’s rich agricultural heritage. The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is excited to celebrate the families with a long-standing love of this land and who have kept Sonoma County’s farming legacy alive.
Successful applicants will receive a distinctive certificate and metal roadside sign identifying the historical Century Farm or Century Ranch at the annual Sonoma County Farm Bureau Love of the Land event.
Applications for the Century Farm and Ranch Award must be submitted to the Sonoma County Farm Bureau before Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Century Farm and Ranch Award applications are open now. Love of the Land, one of Sonoma County’s favorite summer events, will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the heart of the Russian River Valley at the Pavillion at Richard’s Grove at La Crema Estates & Saralee’s Vineyard. Guests will enjoy appetizers prepared by local purveyors paired with local award-winning wines during the Sonoma Grown Reception. A wine country barbecue, an awards presentation, and a live auction will follow.
