TOMPKINS CO., N.Y. — Solar development in New York State will be governed by a new Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES). Farmers and rural landowners can learn how the ORES regulations will impact agriculture in our communities, and how they can provide feedback on the regulations before the comment period closes on December 7th.
Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County (CCE-Tompkins) for a free coffee hour presentation and conversation on Saturday, December 5 from 6:00-8:30pm via Zoom. Special guest CJ Randall, Lansing (NY) Town Planner, will provide an overview of what is being proposed, how agriculture is addressed in the new regulations, and how individuals may submit feedback during the comment period.
