RALEIGH — The North Carolina Conservation Districts are hosting spring and fall Soil Health Field Days to demonstrate the importance of cover crops. All producers and technical resource people are invited to join us on May 25th at 4PM near the intersection of Old Dam and Sylvan Road in Liberty, North Carolina. The Alamance Conservation District’s Field Day will highlight cover crop termination and planting into cover crops. Come ready for any weather to network with other farmers and share cover crop management stories. No registration is needed.
The Foundation’s Soil Health Initiative is supported by the NC Agriculture and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund, Cotton Incorporated, NC State University’s Department of Soil Science, USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Conservation Innovation Grant program and USDA Agriculture Research Services.
