RALEIGH — The North Carolina Conservation Districts are hosting spring and fall Soil Health Field Days to demonstrate the importance of cover crops. All producers and technical resource people are invited to join us on August 16th at 8AM at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, 26032 Newt Road, Albemarle NC 28001. The Stanly Conservation District’s Soil Health Breakfast will highlight the value of soil health and cover crop basics and include a rainfall simulator demonstration. The Foundation’s Soil Health Initiative is supported by the NC Agriculture and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund, Cotton Incorporated, NC State University’s Department of Soil Science, USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Conservation Innovation Grant program and USDA Agriculture Research Services.
