COLUMBIA, S.C. — Join Clemson Cooperative Extension Livestock agents as they present a Small Ruminant Workshop: Profitable Production on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Agribusiness Building/ Center Room G01 at the Sandhills Research & Education Center, 900 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229. The cost per attendee is $25 which includes the course material and lunch. FAMACHA certification and cards will be free.
The topics to be covered include: Forage Selection and Establishment, Fire Ant Control, Herd Health and Parasite Management, Signs of Labor and Kidding, Avoiding Fencing Pitfalls, Production Economics and Marketing Considerations, and Hands-On Demonstrations include: Fencing, Hoof Care, and FAMACHA.
