WATERVILLE, N.Y. — All grazing enthusiast are encouraged to attend a pasture walk scheduled for Thursday May 25th from 5 to 7pm at Pincroft Farm located at 7353 Sanger Hill Rd. in Waterville, NY.
Pincroft Farm owner and operator, Ben Wood, recently participated in an organic Birdsfoot trefoil study conducted by Cornell University’s Dr. Tatiana Stanton. The preliminary findings from the study will be presented by Tatiana Stanton. Birdsfoot trefoil is a forage legume that has shown anti-parasite effects in sheep and goats.
Additional topics on the agenda include strategy for pasture management, cover crop uses, seeding and soil management. Marketing opportunities using MeatSuite will also be highlighted.
