JEFFERSON CITY — Youth groups from across Missouri were awarded grants from the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s 2017 Building Our American Communities grant program. Six Missouri FFA chapters and eight Missouri 4-H clubs statewide have been awarded funds for their community service projects this year.
Each of the 2017 awardees will receive up to $500 toward their projects, which may include upgrades or additions to existing facilities, grounds or buildings, such as fairgrounds, parks or community centers used by local organizations. The 2017 grant recipients are:

- Paris FFA, Paris (Monroe County)
4-H Clubs
- Prairie Home 4-H, Boonville (Cooper County)
- Zion 4-H, Boonville (Cooper County)
- Elkhorn 4-H, Hawk Point (Warren County)
- City Clovers 4-H, Lamar (Barton County)
- Learn A Do 4-H, Lamar (Barton County)
- Brookfields 4-Her’s, Linneus (Linn County)
- Pershing’s Pride 4-H, Linneus (Linn County)
- Mighty Mustangs 4-H, Altenburg (Perry County)
