ARDMORE, Okla. — The Noble Research Institute will host an Irrigating and Fertilizing Specialty Crops seminar from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Noble Research Institute Kruse Auditorium, located on the main campus in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Noble Research Institute soils and crops consultants will discuss the importance of soil-water-plant relationships and the various irrigation scheduling methods growers can use to maintain the proper soil-air-water balance necessary for crops to thrive.
Attendees will also learn:
- How to properly match and apply fertilizer with the nutrient requirements of crops at various growth stages.
- Various techniques for measuring soil moisture.
- How to operate and couple a fertilizer injector with an irrigation system.
Experienced market growers who are looking to more efficiently use irrigation and fertilizer are encouraged to attend.
