STURBRIDGE, Mass. — Farmers’ market managers from the region will gather on Wednesday, March 8th in Sturbridge, Massachusetts for a day-long workshop. Entitled, Boosting Your Market: Charting a Path for the Future. The workshop will offer a full day of topics designed to enhance farmers’ market operations.
Topics will include market loyalty programs, farmers’ market legal structures, building and solidifying relationships in the community, and more. Market promotion to maintain and increase customers will be discussed in “50 Ways to Love Your Customers (and Keep Them Coming Back!”)
Farmers’ market managers interested in getting their market authorized to accept SNAP (formerly food stamps) will be able to drop in at the SNAP Resource Center – one stop shopping where market managers can complete their USDA application to accept SNAP benefits and obtain information on low cost wireless equipment to process SNAP payments.
