COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Seed saving is an ancient practice that has found new meaning and urgency as more people have come to appreciate the benefits to our health and well-being that gardening provides. The Otsego County Master Gardeners will be holding a Seed Saving Workshop on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 123 Lake Street in Cooperstown. Please join us to share and make more for our gardens.
You’ll learn the benefits of seed saving, which plants are best suited to seed saving, and how to harvest and store the seeds you collect. Otsego Master Gardeners will guide participants in the identification and collection of seeds from the gardens at CCE.
