BARCO, N.C.–Is your child interested in learning to prepare food or are they curious about where food comes from? Sign them up for the Seed It and Eat It Culinary Camp held by NC Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center. This camp for youth ages 9 to 14 and will be held from April 3rd through the 6th from 8am to 5pm each day. The tuition for this camp is $50.00 and includes several field trips to local farms, lunch and snacks for each of the days, and goodies for your child to bring home.
Your child will learn the basics of kitchen safety, kitchen etiquette, and will have the opportunity to prepare a variety of foods including main dishes, snacks, desserts, and appetizers. The camp will conclude with a chopped challenge which parents are invited to attend. If this camp sounds like the right fit for your child sign them up today. Space is limited!

Payment must be received within 5 business days of registering and can be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center or by mailing a check made payable to “Currituck County” to 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Please be sure to complete all the appropriate forms for your child during the registration process.
