MADISON CO., N.Y. — Interested in forests and forest management? The Second Saturday Stewardship Series will kick off on Saturday, October 14 at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County at 100 Eaton Street Morrisville, NY with a presentation on Forest Stewardship followed by a woods walk. The series is designed to help current and prespective woodlot owners take the next steps to achieving their forest management goals.
Whether you are an experienced conservationist or a novice woodlot owner, this series has something to offer everyone. All sessions will include two hours of classroom learning followed by a woodswalk where participants will be able to experience the management principles learned earlier in the day. Guest speakers will include the NRCS State Forester, DEC Foresters, Certified Foresters, Certified Tree Farm Owners, Master Forester Owners, many more.
