Many of us think of vegetable and flower planting as a spring tradition, but a second season begins in July and the third in September. This workshop is not about succession planting; rather, it will provide gardeners with a helpful list of vegetables, flowers, and herbs for mid-summer and fall planting that are either uniquely suited for mid-summer or fall planting. Instructions for successful planting, the tricks for maximizing harvest, and clues when and how to harvest will be shared.
Your garden can produce year round. Planting a second and third season crop is easy and rewarding. This workshop will not only train you how to plant a second and third season garden but also will teach you to do it well. For thirteen years, Ms. Melera was president and CEO of The D. Landreth Seed Company, the oldest seed house in America. She possesses a broad knowledge of what works in Northeast gardens.
