DES MOINES, Iowa — CHS Foundation is once again offering scholarships to help pre-kindergarten through 12th grade teachers attend the 2021 National Agriculture in the Classroom National Conference ‘Fields of Dreams’ scheduled for June 29-July 1 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
CHS Foundation is offering 50 scholarships this year. The scholarship covers early registration to the conference of $435. Teachers are responsible for covering their other travel costs to attend the conference. To apply for a scholarship, teachers must fill out an application explaining how attending the conference will help them advance agricultural literacy in their classrooms. Eligible applicants are PreK-12 teachers who are employed by a school district or private school.
NAITCO is a non-profit organization made up of Agriculture in the Classroom program members in most of the 50 states including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its mission is to educate PreK-12 teachers and students about the importance of agriculture by incorporating agricultural concepts into classroom instruction.
