ELIZABETH, Ill. — The Jo Daviess County Extension and 4-H Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the Norris and Bale college scholarship programs for the 2018-2019 school year. Ralph and Katherine Norris established funds in 1986 to provide scholarships for Jo Daviess County residents pursuing a college degree in agriculture or related fields. Scholarships are awarded to individuals pursuing a two or four year degree program as a full-time student. The Foundation is pleased to announce seven winners who will receive scholarships of $2,500 each. They are: Kailynn Martin, Warren; Brian Holland, Apple River; Jordan McLane, Elizabeth and Hannah Brudi, Stockton; Kaitlyn Kuhn, Galena; Rhett Geisz, Elizabeth and Stephanie Nadig, Stockton.
Floyd and Alice Bale established funds in 1998 to provide scholarships for Jo Daviess County Residents studying agriculture or related fields in a two or four year degree program as a full time student. The Foundation is pleased to announce seven winners who will receive scholarships of $2,000 each. They are Kailynn Martin, Warren; Brian Holland, Apple River; Jordan McLane, Elizabeth and Hannah Brudi, Stockton; Kaitlyn Kuhn, Galena; Rhett Geisz, Elizabeth and Stephanie Nadig, Stockton.
The Jo Daviess County Dairy Herd Improvement Association Board of Directors is pleased to have selected three winners of the DHIA college scholarship for 2018-2019. They are Hannah Brudi, Stockton; Brian Holland, Apple River and Kailynn Martin, Warren. The funds are to provide financial assistance to Jo Daviess County residents studying agriculture or agricultural related fields. The DHIA Board is responsible for the selection of the scholarship recipients. The Jo Daviess County Home and Community Education Association is pleased to announce two winners of the HCE scholarship for 2018-19. The selected winners are Kaitlin Enright and Bryce Platt, both from Stockton. Scholarship winners are Jo Daviess County High School Seniors who will be attending an accredited two year or four year college. The Dalgarn Family Scholarship was established in 2013 to recognize and support a student enrolling in a 4-year institution who, by word and deed, exhibits outstanding scholarship, leadership, compassion, hard-work and tenacity. Missy & Mindy Dalgarn are pleased to announce the winner of the Dalgarn Family Scholarship for 2018-19 as Devin Koester of Elizabeth.
