CLEMSON, S.C. — SC Adopt-a-Stream Biological Training Attend this free training and become a certified Adopt-a-Stream volunteer! Participants will learn how to collect benthic macroinvertebrate samples to assess water quality in a stream over time. Participants will be given instruction on:
– selecting an appropriate site
– properly using and storing equipment
– entering data on the AAS database
– collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates
This training workshop includes classroom and field portions. Participants must pass a test in order to be certified to use the Adopt-a-Stream database.
