HALFMOON, N.Y. — The 19th Annual 4-H Scholarship Golf Classic was held on Saturday June 1st at the Fairways of Halfmoon. 25 teams of four gathered on the lovely Saturday morning to play 18 holes to benefit the 4-H program of Saratoga County. The popular event is one of the highest grossing events hosted by the 4-H. This year exceeded all others and raised close to $10,000!
Players were invited to participate in individual contests along with the overall tournament. There were four different Hole-in-One opportunities with a car from Mangino Buick GMC up for grabs! And prizes were also awarded for men’s and women’s most accurate drive, longest dive, and closest to the pin. Finally for anyone not so golf inclined, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction had over 40 items to bid on!
4-H of Saratoga County would like to thank all of the volunteers, participants, and sponsors! A special thanks to the Fairways of Halfmoon for providing the spectacular location! The event couldn’t be held without you!
