SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Over 100 equine community members gathered at Longfellow’s in Saratoga, NY to enjoy great food, great conversations and great friends at the 10th Annual Horseman’s Social hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Equine Program. This social networking function was originated by the CCE Equine Leadership committee to encourage horseman of all disciplines to get together and discuss the state of the industry and foster relationships within the equine community
Attendees also participated in a silent auction and drop raffle, all proceeds will benefit the 4-H Training Center on Middleline Road in Ballston Spa. The center supports year-round educational programming, as well as many 4-H Horse Clubs and their events. CCE Equine is proud to announce that over $1,000 was raised from the silent auction and drop raffle alone.
Along with the social, CCE Equine will also coordinate the Saratoga Horse Symposium in May, and the Saratoga Horse Farm Tour in August, which last year generated over 1,000 visits to local horse farms in Saratoga County. CCE Equine is grateful for our community of support and look forward to more fun and educational events in the future.
